Case Studies

We are pleased to share the following case studies. Further OpesOn Case Studies coming soon.

Katie & Mike

Katie and Mike joined during the Research and Development (R&D) phase of OpesOn and they were 'just like many' in their early thirties; they lived in an apartment near the coast and enjoyed life.

We say 'just like many' as trouble was just beneath the surface.

Enjoyable consumption without a systematic approach meant various debts were putting a strain on their finances. They also had a holiday booked and no way to pay for it.

OpesOn helped them understand the importance of:

  1. Ensuring your incomes are focused and optimised
  2. Activating idle resources
  3. Understanding your Personal Economy over the long term
  4. Establishing a system that captures your surpluses when they occur
  5. Ensuring the system delivers those surpluses' when costs outweigh income
  6. Automatic systems that respond to the way you live your life already
  7. The power of understanding the impact you can have and a path to achieve it
  8. The supporting mechanisms and tools that keep you informed along the way
  9. Feeling good about enjoyable consumption because it is part of a bigger plan
  10. Working together with someone motivated to your benefit.

They had a great holiday and on return utilised the support, mechanisms and tools to generate surpluses which they chose to apply to rapid debt reduction without compromising their lifestyle.

In 2005 during an ongoing session they realised they had set various goals and achieved them over the years as well as attaining a comfortable debt position.

They were happy, healthy and now ready to start a family.

Their Personal Economy was being fed at the time by two fairly comparable incomes and Katie had hoped to be a stay at home mum for a few years. Mike could not pay the mortgage on just his income.

They also stated they would rather start their new family in a house. Mike relayed his vision of pushing his kids on a swing in his own backyard, also they wished to stay reasonably close to the beach. This seemed a very challenging combination of peak events.

After careful consideration of all Hard and Soft Resources the Strategy Team developed with them, for them, a strategic approach to deliver this future.

In 2008 Katie and Mike have a house in Greenwood, two beautiful children and Katie has since returned to the work she loves.

Most importantly they comment on the fact that during this time they never went without, enjoying dinners, holidays, spoiling the kids and a quality life in general.

The security of achieving is what was really important to them and success across the board is the key to their happiness.

Life is too short to compromise and you need to take a longer view to decide what you want your life to include... then make it happen, for certain.

Their Membership is still current, they are a Member of the COIclub and they are positioned well to continue to succeed with measurement being done and strategies being contemplated for their next phase.

We are their Strategic Partners for Life.

Michelle

Michelle joined during the R&D phase of OpesOn. She was at her wits end with work and feeling considerable strain as a result.

After completing the consultative process with her Strategy Consultant the Strategy Team determined with her to resign from her job and go on call. The plan was then when the phone rang to just stop and decide, do I feel like work? if so, then go to work. If not then quite simply do not pick up the phone and go play golf or do something different, like take a course, pottery may be nice.

Clearly there was more to it than that but this is what we do, make it simple for the OpesOn Member. A system was developed to underpin this strategy where amongst other things, a wage was delivered to her every week, Michelle chose the amount.

If Michelle chose to not work a single day for five years and had to return to work at that time, with optimisation in place, she would still have been paying less then than what she was at the time and would own her home in around half the time, including the five year break (interest rates assumed constant).

Michelle was provided with Training and Tools to enable the Strategy as well as Advocacy regarding the economic conditions at play including an interest rate outlook. She set off with a new attitude to life determined to get well.

A year later Michelle was in the office in West Perth for some ongoing support work and our Member Services Team engaged the Strategy Team stating it would be best if the Strategy Team had a look at this themselves.

The Strategy Team was elated and impressed, as Michelle had started to feel so good about herself she was picking up the phone more often than not and had earned much more than planned.

The system underpinning her had been capturing these surpluses and she was not only back on track but had reversed it entirely and was well ahead of the plan.

Michelle decided to do some home improvements with the profits and continues to succeed. Her Membership is still current.
